Recent updates on the health of the King and the Princess of Wales have been shared. The King recently had his initial weekly discussion with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak following his diagnosis of cancer. During their conversation, the King expressed how overwhelmed he was by the public’s support, which moved him deeply. Additionally, he participated in a Privy Council meeting, both of which took place at Buckingham Palace.
There has been little news regarding the Princess’s health, which is often a positive sign. The Wales family has reportedly returned to Windsor following the children’s school break.
Turning our attention to fashion, the Princess of Wales has been seen in several new outfits this year. Starting with a Cefinn Studio dress worn during mid-January engagements in Merseyside with the Prince of Wales. The navy blue Eva Dress from Cefinn Studio, crafted from a blend of ribbed merino wool and nylon, is celebrated for its durability and comfort, making it an ideal choice for a busy schedule.
Accompanying the dress were the Princess’s navy suede Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps and sapphire and diamond earrings. Later in January, at the launch of her “Shaping Us” campaign in Leeds, she opted for a cotton-blend midi dress by Victoria Beckham. This dress features a fit and flare silhouette enhanced with pointelle knitwork and a mockneck with yellow accents.
In April, during a visit to Birmingham, the Princess wore a Karen Millen trench dress, which combines elements of a dress and a trench coat, creating a sophisticated silhouette with notched lapels and pleated details. This was paired with Bordeaux suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi and Sézane’s Dina earrings.
For the Trooping the Colour event in June, she chose a striking green dress by Andrew Gn, noted for its elegant fabric bands adorned with brooch-like embellishments and a satin band at the neckline. This was accessorized with a Philip Treacy hat, Aquazzura ‘Purist’ heels, and the Cartier Shamrock brooch.
At the Order of the Garter ceremony, she appeared in an Alessandra Rich polka dot dress, which featured a high gathered neck and cinched waist, accessorized with two-tone slingback heels by Jennifer Chamandi and a Strathberry clutch.
The National Portrait Gallery’s reopening saw her in a Self-Portrait metallic bouclé and chiffon midi dress, which combines a tailored jacket with a pleated skirt, accessorized with a Chanel clutch and Aquazzura Bow Tie pumps.
Lastly, at Royal Ascot, the Princess turned heads in a vibrant red Alexander McQueen dress, accessorized with a Philip Treacy hat and red suede heels by Jennifer Chamandi. This ensemble marked a bold departure from her usual color palette, adding a splash of color to the event.
Additionally, the Princess has been seen wearing the Issy Star Earrings by Earsass, created in memory of Sarah Renton’s daughter. These earrings are part of a fundraising effort for the mental health charity Brave Mind.
In retail news, a collaboration between Target and Diane von Furstenberg has been announced, featuring a range of affordable apparel and home decor items, including the iconic wrap dress, set to launch in Target stores and online on March 23.
