Updates and Your Favorite New Hat from 2023

Welcome back! Here are a couple of recent updates followed by a glimpse into the latest fashion choices of the Princess in 2023.

A few days ago, I intended to share an update but forgot to save it. According to a Daily Mail article by Richard Eden, the Princess has been recuperating nicely and traveled to Norfolk for a family holiday during the school break.

The Princess of Wales recently had a successful abdominal surgery and is currently recovering. She joined Prince William and their children for a holiday at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where they could relax and enjoy some family time.

“Catherine is doing well,” a close friend shared. “She was eager for a change of scenery and is taking it easy in Norfolk while the kids have fun with William.”

Another update is from King Charles, who expressed his gratitude last Saturday for the public’s support. He was spotted attending church at Sandringham with Queen Camilla the following day.

Yesterday, the royal couple traveled from Sandringham to London for the King’s cancer treatment.

I’ll keep you posted with any important updates regarding the health of the King or the Princess of Wales.

Let’s dive into the latest hat trends as seen on the Princess, starting with the hat she wore on March 1st for St. David’s Day with the Welsh Guards. The hat, designed by Juliette Botterill, is made from peachbloom felt, known for its soft, velvety texture. It features a percher style with a double bow and two arrow feathers, and is worn on a slim headband that matches your hair color.

The next hat we saw was during the annual Commonwealth Service in mid-March, where the Princess paired her Erdem suit with a navy blue hat by Sean Barrett. This hat is made of navy felt with a rounded crown and wide brim, adorned with a large bow on the side.

On St. Patrick’s Day, the Princess debuted a new hat by Jane Taylor, worn with her Catherine Walker coat. The Clio hat, a romantic heart-shaped cocktail hat, is crafted from luxurious felt with a pleated crin detail that elegantly frames the face.

During the Easter church service in Windsor, the Princess opted for the Mayfair Pillbox hat by Lock and Company, made from velour felt. This light and comfortable hat is designed to be worn at an angle and fastens with an adjustable elastic at the nape of the neck.

At Trooping the Colour in June, she chose a bespoke hat by Philip Treacy. The broad-brimmed hat features a pert bow at the back, complementing her Andrew Gn dress.

Later in June, at the Order of the Garter, she accessorized her Alessandra Rich dress with a saucer-style hat by Philip Treacy.

For her appearance at Ascot, the Princess wore a vibrant red ensemble, including a new saucer hat by Philip Treacy with a silk bloom and swirling silk ribbon tails.

In July, at Scotland’s Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication, she wore a satin teardrop-shaped hat by Philip Treacy, perfectly matching her Catherine Walker coat.

In September, during a visit to Wales, she introduced a new milliner, Sahar Freemantle, wearing a teardrop-shaped hat in velour felt.

During a state visit in November, she debuted a broad-brimmed hat by Jane Taylor, likely made of luxury felt.

Finally, on Christmas Day, she revisited the Juliette Botterill Bow and Arrow Percher hat, this time in blue to match her Alexander McQueen coat.

And that’s a wrap on the latest hat trends from the Princess’s wardrobe!

Remember to cast your vote on your favorite new hat of 2023!

Lastly, a year ago, the Princess visited a nursing home in Slough, where she participated in making pancakes on Pancake Day, wearing a chic ensemble by Roland Mouret.
