The Princess of Wales teamed up with Roger Federer to explore the activities of Wimbledon’s ball boys and girls.
Together with the tennis icon, she observed a training session where young hopefuls demonstrated their skills, aiming to secure one of the 250 coveted positions for the upcoming tournament.

The duo participated in a doubles rally on the renowned No.3 Court to support the Wimbledon ball boys and girls.
Federer, celebrated as the top male grass court player and an eight-time Wimbledon winner, along with the Princess, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, showcased their tennis prowess in the newly released video.
A Wimbledon ball girl named Mollie coached the Princess on the correct stance and technique for feeding balls.
Seeking advice on her serve, Kate asked Federer for tips, to which he reassuringly replied, “The serve looks good.”
Subsequently, the Princess and Mr. Federer joined a training session for aspiring ball boys and girls.

Local school students participate in structured training sessions spanning several months, culminating in the selection of a final group.
The selection process includes about 170 newcomers and approximately 80 returning participants from previous years.
During the shoot, Federer expressed his admiration for the rigorous training, remarking, “This is serious practice, I’m thoroughly impressed by the dedication and training involved in becoming a ball kid at The Championships.
“Having been a ball kid myself in Basel around the age of nine or ten, I’ve always maintained: once a ball kid, always a ball kid.”
