by admin

Today at Wimbledon, the Princess of Wales was seen in a chic Self Portrait dress at the All England Lawn Tennis Club during the Ladies’ Final, featuring players Ons Jabeur from Tunisia and Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic.

As the royal patron of the All England Club, the Princess was photographed with Debbie Jevans, CBE, the upcoming first female chair of the AELTC, succeeding Ian Hewitt post-Championships.

Before taking her place in the Royal Box, the Princess engaged with various attendees, including Philippa George, who had the honor of performing the coin toss. Philippa, a long-time participant at Park Lane and a volunteer, expressed her excitement about the day, noting it as an incredible experience.

Philippa, a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association, shared her anticipation for the tour of the clubhouse and the luncheon in the competitors’ restaurant, assisted by championships referee Gerry Armstrong. She also mentioned her role in welcoming new members and organizing social events at Park Lane.

The Princess also took time to speak with the grounds crew, staff, emergency services personnel, and military representatives, demonstrating her appreciation for their contributions.

Accompanied by Ian Hewitt, the Princess made her way to Centre Court, where she was seated alongside tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King, as well as notable attendees Lin-Manuel Miranda, Andrew Garfield, and Vito Schnabel.

Throughout the event, the Princess engaged warmly with participants and spectators, reflecting her role not only as a patron but as an enthusiastic supporter of the sport and its community.
