The Duchess in Roksanda & a New Hat for Wimbledon Women’s Championship

by admin

At today’s Wimbledon event, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a striking yellow dress by Roksanda, making a memorable appearance. She was warmly welcomed by Ian and Jenifer Hewitt upon arrival.

Ian Hewitt, who presides over the All England Club, was there to greet her. The Duchess has been a patron of the club since 2016.

The Duchess had a conversation with Gabia Sakaviciute, who had the honor of tossing the coin for the women’s finals today, thanks to her commendable community service during the pandemic, recognized by the UK charity Jigsaw4U. Edward Roberts, a young graphic design student, also met her; he’s known for creating the emblem for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Today’s special edition coins, one celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee and another marking the 100th anniversary of Centre Court, bear quotes from Rudyard Kipling and the Queen, highlighting their historical significance.

Following the coin toss, the Duchess proceeded to the royal box, joining 1997 Wimbledon champion Martina Hingis and Ian Hewitt.

Notable attendees included tennis legends Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova, along with their agents.

Conchita Martínez, the 1994 Wimbledon women’s singles champion, was also present.

The Duchess enjoyed the match, visibly engaged and applauding the players’ performances.

As the match concluded, the Duchess participated in the trophy presentation, awarding Elena Rybakina the Venus Rosewater Dish.

Throughout the day, the Duchess’s choice of attire, a yellow Roksanda dress, drew attention. She paired it with white Gianvito Rossi pumps and accessorized with Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings and Bulgari sunglasses.

The day was filled with memorable moments, from engaging conversations with young talents to celebrating the achievements of the athletes.
