New Wedding Photo Released & One-Hit Wonders Part Two

by admin

Welcome to our latest installment in the “One-Hit Wonders” series featuring the Princess of Wales. Before we dive into today’s topic, let’s touch on a couple of exciting updates. Firstly, a newly unveiled photograph from the 2011 nuptials of the Prince and Princess of Wales was released today, celebrating their anniversary.

This charming photograph, captured by Millie Pilkington, was shared by Kensington Palace on their social media. It commemorates the day, thirteen years ago, showcasing the Prince in the distinguished black uniform of the Blues and Royals, a change from his earlier red Irish Guards tunic.

Millie Pilkington expressed her delight at the photo’s release.

Additionally, there’s uplifting news regarding the King’s health, which you might have already heard. If not, Buckingham Palace recently announced his improved condition and his return to public duties.

The accompanying photo, taken in the serene Buckingham Palace gardens by Millie Pilkington, marks the day after the royal couple’s nineteenth anniversary.

Turning our attention back to the “One-Hit Wonders,” today we discuss three standout pieces. The first is a Gucci dress from our initial discussion on this theme, worn during a June 2017 visit to the V&A.

Next, we explore an Erdem dress donned in October 2018 for an event at the V&A, marking her first visit there as a patron—the V&A’s first royal patron.

The ‘Iman’ dress, from Erdem’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, features bouclé tweed in a Prince of Wales check, with an asymmetric, layered off-the-shoulder design and frayed detailing.

The third piece is a Tory Burch full-length dress from April 2016, worn at a formal dinner in Bhutan. This design is part of the designer’s Resort 2016 collection and features intricate floral mesh embroidery.

Of these, the Tory Burch dress stands a good chance of being seen again, despite the Gucci dress’s popularity and the distinctive embroidery of the Naeem Khan dress worn at the Taj Mahal.
