As the Wales family prepares to spend Easter and the school vacation at Anmer Hall, their rural retreat, let’s take a moment to reminisce about the Princess’s Easter attire over the years. We start with Easter Sunday 2014 when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were visiting Australia. The couple attended Easter Sunday services at St. Andrews Cathedral in Sydney.
The dove grey ensemble by Alexander McQueen featured a meticulously tailored coat over a dress.
The coat boasted a funnel neck, structured shoulders, a concealed front closure, and elegantly flared sleeves. It bears a resemblance to an off-the-rack design by the same label, with the notable difference being the full-length sleeves on the Duchess’s custom version.
The Duchess complemented her look with Jane Taylor’s ‘Lupin’ hat, crafted in grey velour felt with a curled bow. She also donned her Harper pumps by LK Bennett and carried her McQueen clutch.
Her jewelry ensemble included the Mappin and Webb ‘Fortune’ necklace and the UFO aquamarine and diamond drop earrings she has worn on several previous occasions.
In 2017, the Duke and Duchess joined royal family members at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor for the first time. This was also when the Duchess started a tradition of choosing previously worn pieces for the Easter Sunday service.
