Welcome back! Here’s a quick update on recent events, followed by a review of the trouser and skirt suits worn by the Princess of Wales last year.
On March 22nd, just before a significant announcement from Kensington Palace, we were preparing to share news about the Princess’s involvement in early childhood development. Despite the delay, this update remains relevant. According to The Telegraph, the Princess has been working from home, recovering from surgery and undergoing preventative cancer treatment. More details can be found in this article by Hannah Furness.
Kensington Palace has kept the Princess informed about her campaign and the encouraging outcomes of a study she initiated.
The Princess’s Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood sponsored a trial of a new tool for baby observation, aimed at helping health visitors better recognize early signs of social and emotional development in infants. The Princess, having seen a similar approach in Denmark, suggested its use in the UK. The trial lasted four months and its findings, published last Thursday, were highly positive.
A spokesperson from Kensington Palace stated, “The Princess has been continuously updated throughout the trial.”
The results of the trial, which have been described as ‘exceptionally positive,’ are now public.

Let’s now explore the trouser suits the Princess wore last year, starting in mid-January at a reception at Hampton Court Palace, where she met England’s World Champion Wheelchair Rugby Team.
For this occasion, she chose a maroon Stretch Cady Single-Breasted Blazer by Roland Mouret, priced at $540, and matching Wide-Leg Stretch Cady Trousers, costing $640. The blazer features peak lapels, shoulder pads, slanted flap pockets, and a single-button closure, while the trousers boast a wide-leg cut and a concealed side zipper.
Underneath the blazer, the Princess wore a sweater previously seen in December 2020, styled as a UFO (Unidentified Fashion Object). She accessorized with Gianvito Rossi 105 Bordeaux suede heels, a Daniella Draper gold citrine baby treasure necklace, and gold mini cupid hoop earrings.
The same Roland Mouret outfit was previously seen during her December 2022 visit to Boston and at a reception in November.
